I've had a not uneventful journey down from the UK (crossing C.A.R. and "liberated" South Sudan)on a '97 XT 600 E. I've changed clutchplates, chain and sprockets en route, but I'm now knackered with a broken camshaft in Dar Es Salaam. Does anyone know of a possible supplier anywhere near Dar please?

In Dar es Salaam, Tuk Tuk has traditionally been THE place to get motorcycle parts, repairs and expertise. If no longer in business, ask for Hussain brothers. They have a local African friend who lives about 15 km outside of the city who is a whiz with the XT600. They also have a friend in the city who is an XT 500 nut!
