Thumbs up braided brake lines

hi all
If any of you think you're xt's have poor front brakes, my advice is to fit a braided brake hose. I got a goodrich front/rear kit off ebay this week for £28 and fitted the front hose today. The difference is like day and night. The yamaha part must be very flexible and that seemes to make the brake feel weak.

4-5 year old post.

A search on ebay gave this:

Goodridge Braided Lines Kit YAMAHA XT600E 93-03 on eBay (end time 16-Jun-11 04:21:29 BST)

But note, the OP could have gotten some air out of the brakes, making them work better, not just because of new hoses.

I wil buy some, someday. The should be something to gain there.

old brake fluid becomes spongey. He would have changed fluid as he changed brake lines ... so it was just as likely the fresh fluid that made the difference.
