big bore xt 600

have been thinking about doing this for ages,what are the plus/minus's of putting an over size piston(maybe 1mm or 2mm)into a xt 600,have seen them advertised on ebay 11.5.1 comp,how/if this improve the bike also jetting changes,has any one done this?

It will give you a little more power but if you do get one of those be sure to replace all the main bearings inside the engine because they will be under a much larger stress and might fail if not in good shape...there are a few other mods you can do...just search here on the hubb..I've talked about that and a few other performance upgrades...
