Overnight, some tosspot has nicked the battery from my XT600- is there a way of securing the battery (other than a heavy duty rain sheet strapped round the bike) and is there anywhere good for well priced replacements!

Very strange ..in Italy the Battery cost about 35 euros seems not enough money to mess with ..probabily someone that broken his ..., in evry case is possible to make a bracket from an aluminium bar thus securing the battery against the frame , then close it with a nut or padlock...

A year after the event, but thanks Giorgio! They never came back.

And...finally I'm going to use the bike for real (not just commuting)- Planning to go to Morocco next April, mainly inspired by this board- cheers!
