Oil temp gauge.

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to get an oil temperature gauge that replaces the oil filler/dipstick on an xt600. I’ve heard of them but can’t seem to find them any were.

I noticed this item on Ebay the other day.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=2405281649

They appear in the Wunderlich catelogue, and I see there is a different model for my 3AJ to the Ebay item.

I am sure there must be other solutions, and more readily available in the UK?

Also German company KEDO (www.kedo.com) sells dipstick meters; art.no. 91037 for XT500/550/600/660 at 43,90 EUR. For Ténéré '86- art.no. 91496 at 49,90 (under side plastic thanks to the location of oil tank).

KEDO is also highly recommended for just about any XT parts imaginable!

...and no, this was not a paid ad; I'm just a happy customer...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
