Acerbis rear tank?

Hi, can anyone tell me is there any european website that you can buy the Acerbis 6 litre rear mounted fuel tank?I have found them for sale in the USA but have failed to spot it here.
Has anyone else used this tank and how did it stand up to life on the road?
Thanks, Mike.

We've used them and I like them. We had 2 each. One for water and the other petrol, which got plugged into, the existing fuel line with a y-piece. Using them for water was a convenient way or carrying that, but the tap was a bit small, and didn't let it out to fast. Enough for camping though.

We had a couple of crashes and they held up fine. A bit of dribble from the top cap as really bad roads but nothing to bad when you mount them horizontal at the back.

Because I'm going to get a back box instead of side panniers, I'm actually thinking of getting rid of them if you're interested. Just drop me line if you are.

We had ours included in the Dave Lambeth package, so I don't know wheat they are like out of the box. But they come with threaded slots one in each corner I believe.

We just had ours bolted onto a aluminium plate using some bolts and large washers into the threaded slots. We then had that clamped onto the rear luggage frame with those half circulair brackets that you can get anywhere.

Solid as. We took it through Kazakhstan and Mongolia's finest without any problems.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
