86 Yamaha XT600Z Tenere mainjet help

Hi guys,
i am in need of a new main jet for my 86 Yamaha XT600Z Tenere.
BUT my Clymer book (think USA version of Haynes and just as reliable ). The Clymer says that it should be a 135/ my local yammy shop says it is either 140, 145, or 150. I cant seem to track down any reliable information. Oh it has a staintune slip on end can if that changes things.

So help please what is it?

I think the jet is the only thing needed to get her running again but wont know till i actually get that fixed...

I need to get her running cus SWMBO says if i dont it has to go.. (I think it might when i do as well... so watch this space).

Go for the 140 and buy a KN filter. 134 or 135 makes no difference..

I need one too but at 180 dollars its too much for me....anyone know where I can get an aftermarket one?

Was that jet made in gold or platina? Standard jet for these carb from dealer is 4dollars.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
