1985 xt600 tyres
hi sorry for the confution , ive owned the xt for 6 months it came with old style continental twinduro tyres and handled v,well on the road . ive just replaced the rear tyre for the new style twinduro which looks more off road type . so now the bike feels twitchy in bends and not as stable . so i am after recommdations for grippy tyres for road use only the front tyre is 21/300 rear 18/460 , zigzag

I also had Metzeler Me33 and Me550 but they wear to much, don't grip that well on greasy roads, but god are they sticky in hot weather......soft compound! These were the only worthwhile tyres I could find with a 21" front tyre that matched.... More tyres.......Distanzas are crap! - Page 3 - Honda Trail Bike Forums check out that thread, as Avon Gripsters are still available and are good value if you want some off road tread, and good on greasy /wet roads bear in mind you are in Yorkshire, and it was snowing like f*** in March 2008 when I went up to Helmsley, so BT45's would not be good in that scenario. I found the BT45's were superb on wet and greasy roads and only slipped on white lines and manhole covers when wet, lots of confidence, just watch out when you change tyres!....
