As xtrock says when removing the float pin [wiggle and pull].
Be careful you don't stress and break the float pin pedestals, easily done.

Removed the floats etc and got the valve out and the part beneath out to find there is actually no filter in there? But there is crap around the area which I will clear out.

But Im not sure this is the problem.....

Buy filter, if there is crap there its importan to clean everything in carb, blow out the jets

Here is filter and other stuff cheap.

Ok replaced all the parts in the carb and cleaned everything out and all back together, just there is a broken gasket on the carb to engine head rubber inlet things....

I dont want to replace the rubbers as they are £50! Anyone know where I can get a gasket from or how to make one?

If problem is that they have loosen from metal you can glue them back on with special glue. Other than that you need to buy new. Here is a little better price: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Ansaugstutzen...item1e9187266e

Ok I need help again.

Bike ran sweet with new gaskets on the head to carb rubbers and drove it to the petrol station, where is stuttered the last few hundred yards.

Filled up and ran for another few hundred yards..... Wouldnt start and pushed home.

Removed carb to clean it again as I assumed this was the problem and main jet fell out, screwed this back in and the carb was as clean as a whistle.

Put it back together and it still didnt start.

Checked plug and It was blackened and had a weak spark.

Replaced and it started up first time and ran well although noticed oil came out the exhaust for a short time, took for a half hour run and ran well. After run I checked the exhaust for oil and no oil came out.

Started again in the morning and stopped down the road so pushed it back and went to work on the other bike.



Any suggestions of where to go next with this bike?
I think I messed up the pilot jet there as it has to be screwed in a certain amount?

Can anyone help!?

You where dumping a whole lot of gas in the engine as that jet unscrewed, that's where the black "oil" that came out of you exhaust was from. It wasn't oil, just a bunch of real dirty gas. Both jets get tightened down snugly (the ones inside the float bowl). If your talking about the screw that is underneath and in the front of carb that's the mixture screw , it gets turned in till it LIGHTLY seats then backed out 1-1/2 to 3 turns, depending on the bike. 1-1/2 turns out is a good place to start. There is an o'ring on it that seal plus should hold it from backing out.

Took a look and realised there was a kink in the fuel line!

Idles sweet but will take for a ride again tomorrow....
