Have had similar problems with a 55W.

Steps to take:
1. Clean airfilter thoroughly. Flush in petrol at least three times and put on new clean oil. Dusty conditions: once every two days!
2. Check ignition parts by exchanging them:
alternator with pickups, CDI, HT coil
3. Check carburettor needles: wear scratches along the needles give temporary mixture enrichment when opening / closing throttle or when second stage cuts in
4. Check fuel bowl level (easily adjustable)

Recommend you do 1) and 4) first as 2) and 3)need spares.

Let us know the results!
