Romain,

No problems using a 3AJ engine(better gearbox and cooling fins etc),
lf you buy a 1VJ engine, l would be interested
in buying the kick mechanism from you to fit on my 3AJ,
You should also consider a 3TB engine, l think the demolition store in Narbonne has a low kilometered one available at 500€
Just let me know if you need any advice,
where in Toulouse are you from?

Matt

Ps l have some ténéré parts for sale:
koyo steering bearings: new !
a few C3 engine bearings: new
exhaust OEM: almost new
gearbox 1VJ: good shape
and much other parts!

Romain,

Did you get my mail message?
http://home.main-kinzig.de/aludwig/
http://www.xt600.de/

These sites are in german, they explain how to tranplant a 3TB/3AJ engine to 1VJ frame,
trannslate with altavista to french if you don't speak german,,

l would take 3AJ or 3TB engine, along with improving the cooling/thermal characteristics of the 1VJ:
re jetting
bigger oil cooler
mud guard vent holes
3AJ airbox,,

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
