I've just done a report on David Lambeth's XT-E based "Y2K Tenere" for Trail Bike Magazine - out at the end of the month and on my AM Website a couple of weeks later.

I'm hardly waiting for it ..:-) I still think that Yamaha had lost (and it's losing) a good opportunity in stopping the production of the Ténérés ...If you think that Belgarda still mount the TTR and TTE in Italy ...and they have sold more than 2000 units in 2000 (data from immatriculation)...although the low cost of TTE helps a lot ..about 4300 Euros on road... I told them "Why you guys don't just fit a 30 litre tank and a decent rear subframe?" they told me that they will think about it , but are not sure of the market potential ....

It would appear that Dave has built the bike that I'm trying to construct. I await next month's TBM with interest, as I guess it'll give me a guide as to what else I need to do!
