2011 XT660Z seat

Hi guys. Last mini adventure of last year was a 6 day and 2650 odd miles around Scotland.

I would like to say I loved every minute of it as I managed to catch the weather almost right

The bottom line to the whole story is the pain my arse was in day in day out from the awful god dam seat Yamaha have put on the tenere...

Iv been looking into other options and found that Kahedo and Touratech are both selling seats that they say are more comfortable but they come with a hefty price tag, although I am willing to pay.

Any one out there tried any of these seast as I know that are both made by Kahedo but before I take a loan out id like some feed back from other riders that have maybe tried and tested.

I am very open to other ideas as well if there are such company's out there who would sort this awful thing out.

I'm of to Le Mans this year 2 up and possibly another week or 2 away on the bike but there is no way with this seat.

thanks guys.

I bought the kahedo seat for my tenere and found it terrible. I contacted them and they told me it would get better with time .I have used this every day for two years and I'm still waiting. I'm going to get mine altered at a local company.

Big ben witch seat did you go for?? Standard, low or high??

Mezo thank you for the info I think I may have to sell the bike to be able to found the seat if I sent it there, lol many thanks though.

I was looking at the high seat as well. I managed to ride a customers 660Z with on fitted but only a brief 2 mile road test. It felt better than my standard one as I just don't get on with the dip. I may just have to bite the bullet and put my hand in my pocket to find out for my self :(

Google Rayz saddles. He is based in Holland and modified saddle on my 2009 tenere in one day. Much more comfortable now, and as a little wider, allows you to move around as you ride for greater comfort over longer duration.
Quality workmanship.

Yam are not the only culprits when it comes to seats that are like sitting on the side of a concrete block. The BMW F 650/800gs are the same. Simple solution- I invested £30 in a black sheepskin cover pad with elasticated straps, makes a hell of a difference. Easily removable and doubles up as a pillow cover in the tent.
