1vj running in/tyres
Well, I finally picked up my very nice new 1VJ from the dealer this morning. Its in ex. condition, the engine has been rebuilt, and its MOT'd and Taxed all for £1200. If anyone wants a recommendation, try HRS in Bristol. I'm very impressed.
Anyway, advert over. Its got a new piston, and been rebored. What would you guys recommend as a running in procedure? Also, it has Dunlop Trailmax tyres. What are your opinions on these, and what pressures should I run them at? Of course now I have my new bike, its raining. Typical! Dave |

just ride 'normal'.
avoid both high and low revs. carefully warm up the engine. for the first 300 km don't use revs more than 4500. change oil after 1000 km. after that ride as you like. best regards klaus xt600.de / tech. dep. |
