1vj/55w
Hi all
I'm looking at selling my 55w, and getting a 1vj. Just fancy a change really. How do they compare? Anything specific to look out for on the 1vj. Its done 45k km. Also can anyone tell me if the left hand switch gear (indicators, lights etc) and the cdi unit are interchangeable. Thanks Dave |

Keep the 55W and forget the 1VJ. The only thing it brings is teh electric start but real m.n don't need that?
The 1VJ has reputedly a couple of problems; all centered around cilnder and -head: threads of bolts stripped off, overheating, gasket leakage. Unless all that has been remedied the 1VJ is not as good as the 55W. CDI: with some tinkering; interchageable. Switches: idem. Auke |
