1VJ, 3AJ carbs on a 34L OK?

Hi All,

my carbs are really worn on the mechanism where the second carb gets opened. so they can't be synchronised.
can i just bolt on a carb off a later model or any other ideas

thanks
andy

Hej,

the later model carbs (2nd carb with rubber diaphragma) will not fit without extra parts and work on the frame.

You'll need the intake rubber between airbox and 2nd carb due to bigger intake diameter. Take it from 2KF-model.

To get the later carb models in, you'll have to get some kind of a dent in the frame. If there is any chance just have a look on a 2KF frame - Yamaha did a similar job to get space for top-cover of 2nd carb.

That's my knowledge about it - maybe there is a trick to fit later carbs in
without frame modificaton.

Good luck
