1VJ 2nd gear

My 1986 1VJ XT600 has lost 2nd gear,it felt like the chain slipped & the 2nd gear was gone,it has its place on the up & down shift but the gear does not drive,engine sounds normal,Help!.

hi,
i'm afraid you have to open your engine!
i suspect something is broken, either the forks on the shift cam or something on the shift shaft.
don't ride her anymore, broken parts may cause severe damage on other parts!
