1VJ 2nd gear
My 1986 1VJ XT600 has lost 2nd gear,it felt like the chain slipped & the 2nd gear was gone,it has its place on the up & down shift but the gear does not drive,engine sounds normal,Help!.

hi,
i'm afraid you have to open your engine! i suspect something is broken, either the forks on the shift cam or something on the shift shaft. don't ride her anymore, broken parts may cause severe damage on other parts! refer also here: http://216.37.204.202/Yamaha_OEM/Yam...e=13&A=11&B=16 good luck and let us know! klaus@xt600.de
