1984 XT 600 secondary main jet purchase?
Hi All,
Thanks for the tips on high RPM sputtering/cutting out. After rechecking the carbs again and fuel supply - all clear. I fabricated and replaced the secondary carb gasket under the top cap of the secondary barrel. The old one was old/brittle that may have caused a vacum leak. I also then ran it without the air snorkels or air box connected - no sputtering or cutting out at high RPM's. Connected the air box, ran it and sputtering again at high RPM's! I drilled lots of holes on the side cover and that definately helped the XT breath better. At this point I'll buy a better air filter and I want to down jet the secondary main jet a size. Where do I purchase different size jets for the secondary carb? I drilled out the original secondary main jet slightly, but I think it's a little too rich at this point. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks |
