XT660 Service Interval?
Can anyone tell me the reccomended oil change interval on a 2005 xt660.
I have googled but can't find a reccomended or a real life solution or a clear range for a loaded XT. Thanks Joe

Reccomended service intervals for the Yamaha XT660X and R are set at 6000 miles, however if you are using your bike every day, both to commute to work and for fun an interim oil change is reccomened every 3000 miles by my personal experience, when you are likely to do 10'000 per year or more on your bike.
If you are interested I suggest you buy the official Maintenance Manual which includes all routine maintenance of this bike at its a bargain at £1.00 per download follow this link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MESE%3AIT&rd=1 Should you need any further help with your bike, please be adviced we are running a forum totally dedicated to these particular bikes and you will find the solution to all possible problems related to surging, fuelling and modifications. log into http://www.xt660.com |
