That the same one we put on in Irkutsk?

Your old one that we took off having got you there from Turkey, served me for all of Yakutia and Road of Bones and was finally left in Khabarovsk with still enough tread for anyone in need.

These tyres go on for ever - just a pity they are such a danger on tarmac!

Yes the one that was changed in Irkutsk, of which you took the cursed one what was it 14 punctures?

Its unfortunate that your bike has been stolen. I wish you the best of luck in getting it back. Where was it stolen?

I know the area. I had some guys tamper with my disc lock on the M56 Services which was unfortunate.. Luckily they didn't get my bike but it still scared me. Hopefully its just some kids that will run out of fuel and dump the bike somewhere that it can be easily recovered.

I wish! , I'd just put 29 litres into it, enough to do close to 400 miles!

Nah I found out the bike was taken into the back of a van, a neigbour saw a big yellow van pull up and lift it into the back barstewards.

:(A Nasty Development Indeed !!!, Al we hear about is all the :nono:negatives in these other countries in which we travell, yet this happen in your own :eek3:backyard !!!
Best of luck trying to find it, was it insured ?

Best of luck, doesn't sound good if they used a van. That's called planning. My XT was stolen a few months before our big trip, and found dumped in the park behind my house after a lady called police when she overheard some kids asking someone if they wanted to buy it. Sadly my F650 GS Dakar was right next to it but attached to a ground anchor. It's a shame they didn't get the Dakar instead as I was working on the brakes so the calipers were undone,,,,,,,,they could've had a very nasty accident !:innocent:

Contact the HU Communities in your area - that will also help spread the word. A travellers bike was recovered in Brazil via the Communities! :)
