It had fine body and running engine but engine need work in cam and valves.. And oil drips off the head while you run the bike.. With all these issues it even runs like hell and produce vey good power.. Anyhow I'm searching for parts for 3 months now and it's a huge dissappointment, but today I've spotted a xt600 complete engine with cdi and carbs, it's a London edition and almost new in condition in 450$.. So I was thinking to swap that motor into my xl.. Better to have something than nothing, I didn't knew about xt,s before so got here while finding info on xt motors and what I concluded from web is xt motor is good and even better on fuel and starting.. So I hope it shud be a good combo, xr chasis and xt motor.. Please share anything if I may need to know.. Thanks

Why go to all that trouble to fit a Yam motor into a Honda frame!!!!= problems!!!
Just buy an XT, you wont be sorry.

Cheers from Oz.

Hello Yasizxc,

I see it's your first post here, so you are very :welcome:.
I cannot tell you about your question, but about HUBB. Feel like at home, there many people here who love your country and your people. You'll find a friendly and open-minded community happy to help you and there are even a few compatriots from a Pakistani motorcycle club here and they are very nice.

I myself missed your country in 2010, not my decision, but it just had to be like that. Sooner or later, I'll get there.

Wish you the best luck with your "transplant surgery". I could only recommend you asking for other webshops who may ship to Pakistan. Here there's plenty of info. Otherwise, go for it and best of luck,

Esteban

It'd be much better, but I guess that the point is that he cannot get engines/bikes/parts easily in Pakistan.

Are there sound, practical or engineering reasons for this, or is it simply a matter of preference or even fashion?

I had a Honda XL600R, it was a popular bike. The main problem with mine (and many others) were all kinds of problem with the cylinder-head (I think this was the first RFVC-engine).
IMHO the XL had more power and was more fun to drive then the XT - when it worked.
