Travel Around The World Kle 500 Or Xt 600?

Hi!!! Im New Here Nice To Meet Everybody!
I Got A Question, In One Year I Will Ride Around The World And I Would Like To Know Waht Do You Think.
Kle 500 Or Xt 600, I Like Bought, I Had The Kle And Is A Nice Bike, Cheap, Economic And Easy To Repair I Like Xt 600 Too, But I Cant Decide Or Maybe If You Know Another Bike Cheap Like This.
From 250cc To 600 Cc Is Enough For Me!
Thank You

90% of your riding will be on asphalt so it makes sense to have a bike that is more comfortable even at a moderate high speed - that rules out a single for me, so if cheap is what you want, go for the KLE.

Don't rule out road bikes though - I have done all my travelling, including x-sahara sand, on road bikes.

Hi Octopus, I may not be best to help you on this as my views on adventure bikes are fairly radical compared to most riders.

For example, many years ago I rode Australia -> Asia -> Europe -> Southern Africa on a 2 stroke RD350.

Last year I rode 8,000km across China on a local 125cc road bike (CG125 clone) and then rode 30,000km Korea -> Italy on a Suzuki Burgman 650 maxi scooter.

I still think the KLE is the best bike out of the ones you suggest, but if I had to buy new I would buy the 650 Versys.

Hope this helps.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
