go to the bmw motorcycle site and look at the 1200gs enduro but you got have a big check! almost 20.000 i think. but it's only paper the gov got more.

Yes they do,If you could find one! I havn't seen any here in Ga since january.

Great bike tho only about 12000 and will go anywhere but you gota be tall seathight about 39 in I think.

i am pretty sure all of these bikes ,with the possible exception of the transalp ? are available in the states .

They have twin enduros.
At least BMW has by far as I know and seen.

I'm guessing Georgia the state, not Georgial the country. Nor Georgia the girl I once dated.

Americans don't buy them. Every once in a while, they try bringing over something neat and they hope it doesn't flop in the US.

Most Americans want fast vehicles in a straight line, so that's what we get.

We have the SCORE off-road series in the US and Mexico, but there doesn't seem to be much hype. If more people were exposed to this series of races, and the brands brought over the same bikes that they race and promote in the Paris/Dakar race, perhaps more people would go for them. In the 80's, the trend was for sportbikes, then Harleys into the 90's, then touring bikes/sport-tourers, and now back to sportbikes. Harleys have maintained stable sales for years with their demographic, as well as all bikes moto-cross/off-road. The larger dual-sport touring bikes are limited to Suzuki DR-650's, Honda XL-650's, and Kawasaki KLR-650's, and BMW's To a lesser extent are some of the less mainstream brands such as KTM, Triumph, etc. But some of the common dual-sports from Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamamha that are available elsewhere are not available here, unless they start promoting them through racing.
