Sport bike ok to ride to South America?
I have a 2000 Kawasaki ZR-7 which they call a naked sport bike. It has an upright stance unlike most croch rockets, but street tires. I have hard bags and a rack for it so I can stow lots of gear. It is just hard to do a lot of off roading with it. Is it possible to ride this bike from the US through South America? Thanks all.

Sure, no problem.
DEPENDING on YOUR preferences for where to go and road type, you can easily do South America on ANY bike. Sjaak Lucassen from the Netherlands is on his second RTW - this time on an R1, arguably a better bike than he rode last time, a CBR900RR Fireblade. ![]() Search the site for more on Sjaak. Others have done SA on Gold Wings and other unlikely bikes. Just choose your roads. Those who have ridden SA two-up, also have to avoid the very worst roads - and loads of people have done it two-up, myself included. Unless you really want to get into the farthest back country, your bike will do fine. OR you can always sell it and get a big trailie. All options are open to you! ------------------ Grant Johnson Seek, and ye shall find. ------------------------ One world, Two wheels. www.HorizonsUnlimited.com
