Horizons Unlimited - The HUBB - Old Unfaithful and I: K-750 (Russian boxer)

Here in Lithuania I have fixed up a 1961 K-750 boxer flathead with sidecar. These sell for around $40 (yes: forty US dollars) in the countryside, so I bought a couple extra ones to cannibalize for spares.

I'm planning to ride east on the beast, come spring. Silk Road, Karakorun, , , crazy?

Well, maybe not. Parts will be everywhere, basically free. You can fix everything with low tec tools (yes... over, and over and over) and, parts can be machined easily. If needed, you can bolt in most anything from URALs or DNJEPRs (and Chiang Jiang's?)

Has anyone else here travelled far with a K-750? I know Carla King's Chinese bike was cloned from the same BMW WW2 molds, but apart from her?

And yes, I LOVE going slow.
