My bike shortlist – opinions required please!
Ok so I have tried the XT225 Serow and that is just too damned small, my knees are by my ears. My XT350 is kick-start so that’s no good either.
So, my current shortlist is… Yamaha TTR250 Raid Suzuki DR250 Djebel Suzuki DR350 SE Honda XR250 Baja All of the above are electric start, and all except the 350 are the ‘desert rally’ version of the model which apparently means, a larger tank, a wider seat and a more powerful headlight. I am really gutted that the Serow is too small because it has such a fantastic reputation for simplicity and reliability. So any experience with reliability and suitability for carrying luggage of the above bikes would be welcome. ------------------ Africa Trip web journal
