leaking rear shock
Hi there,
I am in Kampala and my rear shock leaks oil and has therefore stopped damping (a Technoflex shock for my Honda XRV750 Africa Twin). Does one of you know what to do? I'd rather let someone here repair the thing, but I don't know if they can. Sending them home by FedEx or DHL is so expensive.. Any suggestion is welcome! |
Hi Krid,
I'd contact Technoflex at: info@technoflex.nl and see if they can supply likely spare parts and instructions for doing it yourself. I've rebuilt my Works Performance monoshock in the back of nowhere, so it's possible. Technoflex does say that rebuilds are possible, and any parts are available. I would suggest DHL to get the parts to you - one way on a few pieces shouldn't be too expensive, at least not compared to a shock. Dirt bike shops are used to rebuilding shocks by the way if you can find a good competition oriented one. They should be able to do the nitrogen repressurising for you. Good luck, ------------------ Grant Johnson Share the Dream! at: www.HorizonsUnlimited.com |
