what's the opinion on the Kawa KLE 500? want to use it for a trip to south east asia. thought long about buying a xt 600 E but the KLE sounds more comfy for long trips (two cylinders, 6 speed etc). anyone got any experience trvaleling or otherwise with this machine?

What do I think? I think it has the makings of a great bike. That motor has powered a gazillion GPZ500 and ER5s and is well proven. I have been hoping someone would give one a dust-off and try it. They are quite cheap here in NZ, but not available in many countries. Are you seriously looking or just, like me, thinking that someone sometime should take one out there and do it?
Regards Nigel in NZ

no i'm serrious., i own a old 60000 k+ NTV now and i'm planning to go to asia in a little over a year. i don't think that taking the NTV is such a good idea, i thought about buying a XT 600 E , but KLE's are avalaible here (though you don't see manny) and second hand not to expesive. i think it sounds good as a travel bike but i can't really find people who used it as such. think i buy it anny way though.
