Honda XR650L two up?

I'm a good way into preparing for a RTW trip, but after a stint of two up on my XRL in France, I'm wondering if this bike could cope with regular passenger use.

Has anyone had much experience with riding two up on this bike, and are there things you can do to make it better suited?

I'm setting off for the trip alone, but don't want my choice of bike to rule out having someone on the back.

Thanks

Xr650l

I just did a trip in Cambodia and Laos this winter ,we were two up on a XR650L with very little luggage and that was a bit of a challenge to get confortable, not mentioning the brake or handling. These bike are great one up and should you want to keep your pillon happy you may need to really improve the seat or choose a differnt bike.

Thanks for the input

I'm not sure what I really expected as a reply to this. I guess I was hoping for a miracle cure, but it was a long shot.

I'm 100% committed to this bike for my trip, but I have a niggling thought in the back of my mind, that I'm riding a bike that almost rules out long distance pillion travel. Probably the answer is to take it easy and in short bursts.

I'll look into the after market seats, but I'm loathed to spend this kind of money without even trying one, and that could be difficult, especially in the UK.
I think the length of the seat would be the main problem, and not sure of an after market seat would make any difference to this.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.

Still keen to meet up with you Hendi, thanks for your help when I was out in Cambodia.
