Honda Magna 750

I have ridden my friend's Magna a few times in Hawaii, but no long hauls. I'm looking to buy a bike and ride across the US...several times. I've read in some reviews on the web that the gas capacity limits range, but aside from that I haven't heard anything negative. Is there anything I should be aware of? Has anyone had any problems? Are there comfort issues? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance, Chip

I have owned a Magna 750 for two years now and have put around 40 000 miles on it. I also took it on a 4000 mile round trip from dublin to the southern tip of Spain fully loaded with luggage and pillion. The only complaint I have ever had about the bike is the fuel range. Generally 100 miles on a tank but at a moderate cruising speed on the motorway maybe up to 120. They way I looked at it was that it was forcing me to get off the bike at regular intervals for a stretch and rest, never a bad thing and I was never in that much of a rush anywhere. The V4 engine is one of the best engines ever cradled between two wheels. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles whether it needed it or not. The only problem was when the regulator gave up the ghost but then that was with 70000 miles on the clock. Absolutely no comfort problems at all. Give it a lash, you won't be disappointed.
