Honda CB400???

Hey guys,

Any good or bad experiences/ general advice or knowledge about Honda's CB400???
From my internet research I've done so far this seems to be the bike that would be most suited for me. I'll be restricted on which bike I can have due to my licence so it's either a CB400 or a Honda BROS which I think will be too big for me (female, about 5'9", 60-65kgs).

It'll be used to go all around Asia, and possibly also all around Asia. I'll be looking at buying a bike built between 1993-1996 that will have been imported into Australia (where I'm buying)

So far the feedback I've found on the net has been pretty positive, but mostly all I can find it about the newest model to come out - or it's just reviews based on city running around.

Anyone able to help?

Not sure about the CB400, but the Honda NC27, CB-1 was a brilliant bike that I regret selling.

Very neat and light. I am only a smidge taller than you and it was an easy feet flat for me (although perhaps I compress the rear shock a bit more too, if you know what I mean...)

Its got a solid CBR400RR engine, detuned to suit and a good tyre slection. I am sure its in you budget: have a look....!

The CB400 is a fantastic bike for both a new rider, and a smaller rider. When I took my test, they were the bike that the test centre used.

They have a low seat height, are mechanically pretty solid, and cheap! (Well, they are here, but I don't know about Aus.) At 5.9 you will be more than capable of safely handling one.

I don't know if they import them over to you, but a GS might be good option. That is a Suzuki GS, rather than the BM, low power, low insurance, low seat height. Quite similar to the Honda, also used by a lot of test centres as well.
