General Kawasaki Enquiry
 

As I've said on another post, I'm thinking about buying a KLE 500. Not a lot of info. available on these bikes it would seem so this is an enquiry about Kawasaki bikes in general.
How do they stack up to other Jap bikes? Are they as reliable as Hondas and Yamahas? What about in comparison to Beamers? Is there any field in which Kawas traditionally have a weakness, e.g. electrics? I don't know anyone with a Kawa so any impressions would be gratefully recieved.

I have had 3 Kawasakis in the past. All larger street/cruiser type bikes and found them to be very reliable. The only possible draw back is the availability of parts (in Canada) is not quite as good as yamaha or honda. This is not to say I have ever been stuck without.

If you check out the kawasaki page on this site I believe you will find many posts on the KLR650. They appear to be very popular and I am sure many others can attest to their reliability.
