which bike ? or more important where to buy it?

Hi,

I want to buy a bike and start a trip - I want to start it in china/mongolia/russia and drive it to turkey then sell it there.

The problem is that I dont know where can I find a bike to buy,
and if I could sell it in turkey?

China - I'm not sure I would be able to leave china (I'm not from there) with a chinses bike.
Mongolia - I don't think I would find a decent bike.
Russia - horrible bureaucracy.

So, Any Suggestion where can I find a bike to buy?
and would I be able to sell it in turkey?

Thanks

If I wasn't clear enough, I want to buy a bike in the area where I will
start the trip. I want a second hand bike.

What about japan ? some place closer?

Thanks again!

Read this thread--the guy bought a used, Chinese-registered bike out of China, rode it in, had several problems, and bought a new bike, and rode it out to his home in Thailand.

He ended up with a Qingqi enduro. Qingqi has a mfr. deal with Suzuki, and manufacture Suzuki's small engines (i.e. DR200).

China or bust... - ADVrider

On this site MyChinaMoto.com - Chinese Motorcycle Community and Resources there are several non-Chinese citizens as members who work and live in China who could help you out with a bike purchase.

If you are set on going through China, the most feasible way to do so is to purchase a Chinese-registered bike there, just from reading many, many posts from people trying desperately to find a magical "loophole" in which to bring your own bike into China. So Japan will probably not work for you.

From the guy's above thread, you can legally ride out of China with a bike (provided you haven't stolen it )that you purchased there.

This should make it easier for you to plan a trip which includes, or begins in, China.

I've already posted a thread at chinamoto. The answers I got gave me the impression that it can be done (buy a Chinese bike and cross the border with it) but while some people success other fails.

I'm not set on riding throw china, I have no problem to start in Russia and skip china.

How much will it cost me to buy a decent bike in japan and import it into Russia ?
How bad the bureaucracy will be?
Any other suggestions?

By the way I have a1 driver license.
