Dominator or XR650L?

Any opinions on which of the above is more
suitable for a 1-month tour of Morocco,
followed by a 2-month tour of Spain/Andorra?

Simply said : if you choose the XR , you will have much more fun on dirt ...but pay the price on the road ...with the Dommie the contrary ...it's a difficult choice - depends also where you want to go . Either bikes will be able to do the job ; Front fairing makes the Dommie more delicate and fragile ...it's sufficient a single fall to damage .

Hi, I did Morocco on a Dominator a year ago and it was fine. I was with various other bikes XR's and TT's and mine was the comfiest. Offroad - well it did fine. All depends on your ability I suppose and whether you just want it to cope off road or if you want to do some serious, luggage of thrashing around (I still did but it's a heavy bike tokeep picking up - I'm not that good at riding off-road!!!!) The Suspension bottomed out a lot with all the luggage but it wasn't really a problem and with the distances being travelled comfort should be accounted for (I think so anyway)
