Does anyone know what bike this is?

I don't actually own a bike yet and I know very little about them, haha, so if anyone could tell me what make and model this is, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, so apologies if it's in the wrong section.

Thanks, everyone.

Hi it looks like a Triumph engined Rickman Matisse
They are a thing of great beauty and legend but you would have to be a brave man to set off tooooo far on one

And yes I know back in the day everyone rode Triumphs round the world I’m just saying that now days there are a lot easier bikes you could do it on

It's a Triumph Metisse .... hope you've got a fat wallet!

Metisse now make this bike with their own 900 cc twin cylinder engine, I saw it at last years bike show and it looks fantastic.

Thanks!

That's the most stunning bike I've ever seen. Incredibly cool.

I'm trying to get hold of one to build a modernised rtw bike - old engine but new(ish) suspension, brakes and cycle parts. Those frames had a real reputation in the 60's for great handling.

Hi Henry,

now this is a thread I'm looking forward to reading.

Regards

Reggie

Matt - at the moment I only have the handlebars, I'm cutting it pretty fine! I should get some pics soon though, the engine is apparently finished so next week it's engine meet frame time and it starts to get bikelike.

I'm having the usual set of square peg round hole issues- yesterday I had to give up trying to get the rear hub from a KTM 690 into the swingarm when it became apparent the frame would need chopping, ouch!

Reggie - I'm setting up a blog for the build/trip/rebuild/trip/rebuild cycle, when I have a URL I will pop it on here
