diesel bike

800cc diesel triple, 110mpg@55mph, 50bhp/130Nm@2000rpm, CVT transmission, shaft drive, optional extras 2WD and 50ltr fuel tank

Dieselmotorcycle Made in the EU

looks pretty good to me. maybe a small production run now, and probably very expensive, but give them a year or two to sort out the details and who knows?

You read this months 'Bike' too then eh?

I've been keeping an eye on this for a while, and I love ths idea, but as you said it'll take a while for it to become affordable (and aesthetically acceptable!?).

I know someone that's got an Enfield, that's been converted by a German company, and fitted with a dielsel engine, and he gets 180mpg! Doesn't look like a stealth bomber either.

I've waited for years for a diesel bike and then they produce something that looks like an aborted shed-built special Bah. I wish they'd employ some designers as well as engineers.

Thumbs up

Have just requested details from 'Charnwood' about the Enfield based diesel with the German Hatz engine, a bit pricey at nearly 5 grand, forget the enfield made diesel. The hatz is a bit slow tho but what the hell, and will probably run on veggie oil as well.....mega economy!!
