I'd suggest doing a test run on a Connie before buying it. They're not for everyone.
I did a demo ride of a Concours in 01. I had always wondered about the bike and the opportunity for a test ride presented itself. About a 30 mile ride. While I liked the balance and feel of the bike, it vibrated so badly that my hands were starting to get numb! And not a little numb....major league numb!! I asked the Kawie fleet guys if perchance something was out of sync with the bike I rode. There dickhead reply: what you see is what you get. (note: the Kawie demo fleet guys are probably the worst in the biz, unless one enjoys getting talked down to) Other friends of mine report putting on mega miles on their Concours with no ill effects. Guess it boils down to the individual. |
