Buell Blast

The GF wanted to learn how to ride, but because she is short had a hard time finding one that fit her. Long story short she decided on the Buell Blast. I have never been a Harley fan, but this thing is actually fun. It turns well and has enough power. Best of all it is light, as in light enough for dirt roads easy. I guess it has a cult following and several performance enhacemanets can be had. Also dual sport tires are available for some dirt roads. I hear that in Medford Oregon some guy is turning these into dirt bikes. Stock it gets 70 MPG on the freeway. The down side is a 2.8 gal tank. Also it has an upright seating position, a plus IMHO. While it is too small for me small staturd people may want to consider it depending on their trip. My girlfriend feels comfortable on it.
