BMW G650GS or Sertao
 

Hi all,

So following lots of research and comments in various threads I think my decision for a Round the World bike now sits between a G650GS or a G650GS Sertao, does anyone have experience of these bikes and which would be the most suited to a Round the World trip?

I like the fact that the standard G650GS you can get your feet down easily and it feels more agile on the road (smaller front wheel), however I appreciate that a lot of the time we will not be on tarmac :-). I am not a mega experienced off road motorcyclist, am not looking for an adrenaline fuelled performance off road bike, just something that truly is going to get me from A to B across all of the various terrains.

Nah, most of your time will be on tarmac or high grade gravel type roads. I'd take the G650GS as it's got tubeless tyres. But that's just me.

Well, actually, I wouldn't take a BMW at all, I'd take a yamaha xt660z tenere or a v-strom, but those just happen to be the bikes I've got....
