BMW F650 vs Kawa KLR650
Hi Folks,
i am thinking about buying a F650 or KLR650. The thing is that a F650 is circa 1000€ more expensive as a similar KLR650. What does a F650 have more that it is worth to pay 1000 € extra ? What are the main differences between the 2 ? anyone driven both to compare them ? I plan to ride the Panamericana. Any advice would be great ! Gijs |

Have a look at the answers on the other topic!
They are really helpful - the one thing you should think about is maintenance - can you do it yourself, or do you have to go to service-garages AND the KLR 650 engine and most parts are pretty much the same since it was sold about 10 years ago... ...spare parts are easy to get and find and cheap and whatsoever... (at least the bike is sold for a while now, but surely I don't know how many have been sold in South America) Just another note - the KLR is way more "offroad" than the F650... I had two different KLR 650,s and have just purchased a F650 Dakar. I just took the Dakar to Copper Canyon (the dirt sections) Mexico. I found the Dakar did everything the KLR did and the center of gravity is much lower on the Dakar. I am sticking with the Dakar. They are both good bikes |
