Anybody Toured a CCM yet?
I've got a CCM644 which I hurtle (rattle) around country lanes on in the UK.
I was wondering if anybody had toured one yet?

My mate Charlie rode through Spain and Morocco to the Sahara on a 99 CCM. His bot glowed red for at least 3 months afterward but the bike made it with a few minor problems.
Firstly no tail light bulb lasted longer than a day. (Not funny when using unlit roads in Spain) The battery died possibly due to vibration which necessitated the kerb stone method of kick starting. This is fine to start with but soon gets boring when you have to concentrate on not letting the engine die whilst checking your map in towns. I've always wondered who thought that left hand kickstarts would be a good idea on a big single. The rear light lens got smashed during a very bumpy piste. I think the mudguard was flexing and it got tangled up in the wheel. |
