Hello from Montana USA

This photo is about 30km from my house. The bike is a 1980 550cc kawasaki 4 cylinder. This is spring time in Montana 200km north of yellowstone national park. Something to consider is spare parts for your traveling bike, are they available and how much to ship to other countries.

Go for it! Had thought about using one myself but went for an Enfield in the end. As a thought you can get spares for them in quite a few countries around the place so that should make things easier, but then they're simple so not a lot should go wrong.... Another plus is that the carnet deposit should be really low!
Only worry I would have is using it two up - fine without camping gear but if you decided to camp as well you'd be pretty well loaded up for a small bike. You could sort that problem out with a small trailer though - there's always a way around these things!
look forward to seeing the blog.
Cheers
Richard
