Am I ...

really allowed to turn up at this years meet on dare I say it a Blackbird or to have more credibility should I go out and buy myself a GS/GSA. And if I am not allowed can someone give me a note for the wife to get permission to change bikes. All joking aside looking forward to this years meet as in 2008 I missed it and in 2009 I actually booked a place but never got there.2010 I am determined to get there so look forward to meeting some of you.

First things first. You need to get yourself a Touratech catalogue and a picture of Ewan and Charlie so the tank art guy has something to work from :nono:

Put knobblies on the Blackbird, that'll get some convesations started

You should ask tedmagnum whether a blackbird disqualifies you more than say a GS/GSA would :D (Sorry Ted, couldn't resist :biggrin3:)

Although I do love the knobblies-on-a-blackbird idea, that'll certainly look kickass.

It aint the bike, its the rider !! To be honest, I don't really give a hoot. I just have too much spare time on my hands so choose to pick on GS1200 owners instead of going out :)

It's really boring saving 3/4 of your wages for over a year. REALLY boring lol. :innocent:

The good thing about HU meets is that 99% of people there don't give a sh*t what bike you're on. A small minority of touratwat types might snigger, but nobody notices them. Come along and meet nice people.

See you there,
Chris
PS: Last year there were excellent talks by a Dutch chap who's been RTW the hard way (incl big mud in Africa etc) twice. First time on a Fireblade, 2nd on a R1
