air versus water
Hi,
I'm nearly 40.... and as a birthday present I'm planning a desert biking trip. I want to buy a new bike for the trip but can't really figur eit all out. I currently have an old Tenere but I fancy something newer. So should I go for something liquid cooled like a KTM Adventurer or Honda XR650r, or an aircooled XT or Beemer Dakar ? I'm bascially planning on an eight week trip to the sahara and I've riddden bike for donkeys years. Any advice ? cheers, Simon |

Water cooled. It gives you some thing to drink when you break down and get stuck in nowhere.

Water cooling is much more efficient and very reliable.
The KTM or the XR would be great bikes to do such a trip. I've owned a KTM Adventure. The advantage of this bike is that all you need to is fit some decent luggage and your ready to go. With regard to the F650gs, see the thread 'F650GS vs XL650V' Bob [This message has been edited by mcdarbyfeast (edited 01 February 2004).]
