Hi,
I spent most of my time on ADV, but found this site as well. I'm a So. Cal rider (KLR), and I'm prepping for a long ride. got my sights on S.A. My KLR is lime green and my wife named it the SHREK and so...the title of the post.
I test rode the oil head and water head GS and GSA boxers, but with a 30" inseam I decided to doll up the SHREK that I have owned for about 8 years for the ride instead of buying new. The list of improvements is long because I have upgraded it along the way already. I'm collecting the spare parts and the wisdom needed for the ride.
