Hello, Im on various bike forums but am brand new on here. I have never said hello properly anywhere else so this is a first. I ride an oilhead rs and work all week 48 weeks /year with no prospect of retiring with any money ever so my travelling is limited to 2 weeks at a time So, when i do go anywhere i go quite quickly!

I am interested in contacting some others in a similar position so as to arrange a bike share , one of us can ride it out and the other ride it back. This should theoretically double the range achievable in 2 weeks although one snag with this is that i dont particularly like to use planes either (on principle as they pollute so much but there again i have flexible principleshttp://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...cons/icon7.gif).

If your principles get reaaaallly flexible, you're welcome to fly to Cape Town, use one of our XTs, ride it for 2 weeks across Southern Africa, and fly back. We've managed to do 5,000kms in 2 weeks - check out our website.

One snag: no chance of bike share because we wouldn't be seen dead on, in, on the back of, or near a BMW... :biggrin3:

Also we're Londoners, so we don't really travel north of Camden... (isn't Sheffield some sort of cutlery set?) :biggrin3:

Can't help with the bike swap, the outfit tends to frighten people who aren't used to it and Leeds isn't somewhere you'd choose to ride to, but thought I'd say hello.
