Smile Newbie from Spain/Switzerland

Hi All,
My name is Marta, I'm Spanish but I'm currently living in Switzerland with my fatty cat and my GS.
'Surprisingly' I love travelling and motorcycles.
I'm reading the HUUB since some time ago, but I've never dared to register and post. Reason for this is very easy: I feel very small (in fact, insignificant!) when I read some of the great tours the really experienced travellers share with us! They are amazing!
But I wanted to ask some questions about a trip I'm planning, so I've thought that better visit the chat first and say hello
Thanks to all!
Big hug,
Marta.

PS: Don't hesitate to contact me if you come to Switzerland! My GS and I will be more than happy to help you and share some time, some kilometres and a hot chocolate with you! (or cold , weather depending)

Hi Marta,

Wecolme to the Hubb! We've all been noobs at some point and not all of us have been on big, awe inspiring trips but have to make do with short trips as and when we can fit them in. But this is a great place to find out about stuff!

Have a good Christmas and New Year.

Belle

Polite girl, but too modest. You have been riding Australia, France, Island, Germany... and as far as I know, the Suiss moutains are not near to Spain and you are use to do the trip on your motorbike.

You are a long distance biker. That is not surprising because you are a woman (here there are a pretty amount of them), it is surprising because average people prefer watch tv.

Welcome to the Hubb. This is your place.

Bienvenida, coño, ya iba siendo hora.

Hi Marta

Don't worry we don't bite....

Post to your heart's content - I'm sure that there is something interesting that you have done or that you know which will prove useful to somebody else. It's the shared knowledge on this site that makes it so special and I reckon that this is the least judgemental site that I know of.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
