New to Travelling
Hello All;
I'm brownyy (as most know me), currently I live in Melbourne, but soon plan to move to Europe and discover the world with a motorbike. I have been riding for 18 months in Melbourne on a ZZR250 having all sorts of colourful fun and intend on upgrading to a Daytona 675 (pref 08, not 09) when I arrive in EU. I orignal intent for travel was to see the world, meet people, see how life goes in other countries and if I'm lucky settle in the Nordic countries if I can find a suitable job. Electrical Engineer is my ticket, but my current employer has put me off the oil and gas industry, hence my plans to leave AU and travel. Have been reading up for some time now on the UK license / rego stuff, and to be honest, I'm totally lost. However I'll read some more until I know what is going on... Until then I'll try and have some input into the Australia forum and attempt to answer some questions... So far this place looks pretty sweet chocked full of info, hopefully I can figure out what it is I'm doing. Anyway, I look forward to furture discussions with everyone on here. --brownyy |

Hi Brownyy
Hi Brownyy
![]() Have helped a few Aussies get on the road here in Europe, via England, and will be happy to give you a few tips and find a bike for you. May also have a couple of contacts in your industry who you can chat to about working in the EU, namely one, my mate Steve, who is an engineer and has commuted from the UK every week to work in Europe for the last 10 years. By chance, he has a 675 'Tona and I took it out for a spin last month, what a bike and it felt as quick as an early R1! He just got back on it from a 10 day trip round the Pyrenees, starting in Spain and crossing into France on the home run. Good luck with your trip and look forward to hearing from you.
