My first short trip from beirut to Europe

I m from beirut -lebanon. Planing this may 2013 to "warmup" for the first time in life on my BMW GS1200. AFTER 10Y business adventure throughout the world it is time to take the road...and enjoy my journey! !:mchappy:

Where are you going and for how long? How will you travel from Lebanon to Europe, road or ferry?

I should go to north lebanon Tripoli next to Syria boarder - before it was easy issue passing via syria up to turkey- NOW it is very dangerous. I should take a ferry to turkey or whatever et Voila!
Any plans?

I dont think there is a ferry from tripoli to turkey or anywhere.
Available ferry lines are from iskenderun(TR) to Haifa (Israel) and damietta (EGP)..They dont even run regularly.

If you know additional possibilities aspecially to reach Egypt,please share here.
So many bikers are in need of this possibility to enter Africa...
