New Member from Cape Town, South Africa.

Thanks for the add!

We are a family of 4 from the Winelands near Cape Town, South Africa and about to embark on a 5-6 year round the world trip in an Iveco ML150 Eurocargo 4x4 expedition truck.

We intend to homeschool our kids on the road. Our income is seasonal so we will initially return to SA annually for 5 months worth of work and travel for 7 months out of a year. It is the only way we can fund such an adventure.

On this forum we hope to benefit from the experiences of the brave overlanders that have gone before us.

Welcome to HU to the whole family!
You've planned something wonderful, and we congratulate you on it.

Try to get to the HU South Africa Travellers Meeting in Potchefstroom in November, you'll learn a lot and get some real inspiration.
Enjoy, and we look forward to hearing more about your trip!

Hi Grant. Thanks for that!

Potch (as the locals abbreviate it) is 1,300km away from me so might be a bit tricky, but I will look up the local contacts and bear this in mind. Certainly would like to attend.

Regards,

Gustav

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
